Rosie

Stubborn, fearless, cunning and extremely resourceful, Rosie has raised being a spoilt brat to an Art form. In her quest to rule over anyone and anything in her path, there are very few she can't wrap around her tiny pinkie. Her greatest curse(as she sees it) is having to share air, much less a bedroom, with her older sister. Making life hell for Edie is both Rosie's biggest chore and greatest pleasure.

Edie

Edelyne Bishop is an otherwise normal 14-yr old ugly duckling teenager. Being the eldest daughter, with all the responsibilities and expectations that come with the job, is a trial at the best of times. Edie has the additional scourge of the Little Sister from Hell. Not surprisingly, Edie has some very neurotic, whiny, hyper-sensitive baggage growing.

Laurie

The model 1950's wife, mother and homemaker. Patient, elegant and efficient, Laurie juggles the tasks of maintaining a perfect suburban castle, a somewhat borish husband and two eternally warring daughters with aplomb.

Most of the time, anyway...

Ron

Ronald William Bishop is a lawyer and a walking model for conservative American values, holding that the husband is lord of the domain and women have their place. He is strict in his rule over his home and family, although he spares a *little* indulgence for his Princess, Rosie. Despite his gender prejudice, he quietly respects his wife's abilities and leaves the bulk of the parenting to her.

Mollificent the Kitty Kween

Molly likes clean laundry and tuna, preferably combined. Molly's aim is to prolong her nine lives as much as possible by moving absolutely as little as possible. A fine minion, as long as she doesn't have to do anything.

Note: the cat in the third archived strip is just a prototype generic cat. Molly had not been developed yet when the first strips were drawn.

Jeffy and Marti

Rosie's two little schoolyard chums, although she certainly wouldn't call them that. She prefers 'a-SO-shi-ets'. Jeffy will do anything Rosie wishes, even if it means endangering life, limb or personal dignity. Gentle little Marti tries to be the world's sweetest voice of reason and likes to watch in quiet awe.
